Joel C.Garrard, son of Jacob Alexander Garrard 1864 - 1945 & Hetty K.(Niblack) Garrard of Bartow.
Grandson of Jacob A.Garrard & Julia (McClendon) Garrard.
ADDED NOTE:
Joel Garrard, a native of Polk, was born in Bartow, Florida. Garrard was appointed as Sheriff in 1956 to fill the unexpired term of Sheriff Pat Gordon. Garrard died shortly after his appointment.(www.polksheriff.org)
